Studio Stretches

The first batch of Studio Stretches comes to you from a place of joy and free flowing creativity.

As a way to loosen up my muscles and warm up my creative brain, these paintings allow for a figurative and literal stretch before I dive into the detailed and tedious work of hand drawing grids or painting expanses of watercolor patterns.

Painting in this way is a welcome reminder of the beauty that can come with simply letting go a little.

 

They bring a joyful energy and lightness to my practice, and I hope they bring the same to you and your space.
